I have been a certified fitness instructor since October, 2009 and facilitate 5-9 classes/wk at various SHAPES fitness studios around the city! Certified in MOSSA Group Power (weightlifting/strength training), MOSSA Group Centergy (blend of yoga and pilates set to music), MOSSA Group Core (35 minute ab blasters) and the PRECOR Queenax Functional Training system (Interval training/HIIT while using the Queenax system... similiar to a bootcamp). 

 

My main delivery is with group fitness, however I do some one on one personal training and facilitate sessions for corporations and community groups as well.

 

Fitness for me is a lifestyle - Something I do outside of my regular 9-5 job as I LOVE how it makes me feel... no one ever regrets finishing a workout! The ages I train vary - typically it's men and women between the ages of 30-60, however I've done some high school groups and some seniors classes as well. Having a full-time role, I find my part-time role with fitness provides a nice balance to the desk job, as well as boosts my mood at the end of a long day. It's a good feeling that's worth sharing :)

 

There is ALWAYS an option to help people get moving, and I enjoy motivating and energizing participants through positive interactions; sharing modifications for different exercises while 'hi-fiving' their effort along the way. 

 

A fellow fitness colleague introduced me to this website, as she has been able to travel mixing work/fitness with pleasure, and I couldn't wait to log in and see for myself if this was a fit!
