In 2019, I became a certified yoga instructor through Yoga Alliance after completing a 200 hour training with Yoga Works.  For continuing education, I've completed a 50 hour yoga sequencing course, 600 hour Ayurvedic health counselor certification, sound healing certification, and energy healing certification.  In addition to teaching locally, I've enjoyed the opportunity to teach internationally at resorts.  I love the opportunity to teach at a resort, immersing vacationers (some who are new to the yoga practice) with an opportunity to practice in a group setting.  I enjoy providing modifications so that all levels are able to access the class. As a family, we love to create lasting memories by experiencing new cultures, cuisines and landscapes through travels to different countries.  Being a part of the awesome community created by participation in yoga and fitness classes is one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching!

 In addition to serving as a yoga instructor, for more than 20 years, as a school-based occupational therapist, I've served as the owner of Pediatric Therapies, Inc.  Pediatric Therapies, Inc. provides school-based speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy and school psychology services to 12 school districts surrounding Richmond, VA.  I received my degree in occupational therapy from JMU in 2001. I feel very fortunate to work alongside a wonderful team in professions I truly love.  I reside with my husband and our two teenage children in VA.
