I first discovered yoga in 1999 - I took a one month intensive Iyengar class (3 hours a day, 5 days a week) and was immediately hooked. That class led to another one month intensive and 20 year later I am still practicing yoga. I have taken classes in the Bikram, Power Vinyasa, Anusara, Restorative, Yin, Hatha, Aerial and Bhakti styles - each style offering an opportunity to deepen my awareness of body and mind. In 2016 I took a 200 hour Yoga Alliance teacher certification with Esteban Salazar in Medellin, Colombia.
For me, yoga is a way to slow down, to smile, to play, explore and have fun while moving my body into interesting shapes!
I have been a public high school Spanish teacher for 12 years - so, I'm bilingual and absolutely love to travel. I have traveled to 13 Spanish speaking countries.
