Kent Sonnefeld, 53 years old

Grew up in Tiffin, Ohio, attended Ohio University

After attending college, I knew I wanted to pursue a golfing career and had dreams of playing on the PGA tour. I started out in Hilton Head Island, working alongside top teaching professional Don Trahan at his golf school. A couple years later I moved to Orlando FL. where I continued to teach, play tour qualifiers and eventually managed a national golf school (Bill Skelley School of Golf).

Through the years I had the pleasure of working with many highly raked professionals.

My desire to improve, understand the swing and play at the highest level never wavered. After many years, my understanding of the swing grew and became clearer. As I evaluated the information that I would hear, I realized that much of it was inaccurate.

As I look back at the beginning of my career, I realized that my struggles to break through to the highest level was not because of the lack of hard work or dedication, it was the lack of insight. I was missing two extremely important pieces to achieving success, (precise understanding of the swing / or insight) and a (clear path / correct motions to rehearse).

I have built these two core points into every aspect of my TruGolfSwing instruction, along with the most productive method of practicing. Finally, by conveying golfer’s personal challenges or bad habits, this gives them a complete understanding and a clear path of improvement. My branded 3 Motions to rehears, permits individuals to gain fast and perinate results. With close to 30 years of teaching experience I have found the best way to communicate this knowledge to golfers of every level.

I definitively know that every golfer needs these two vital pieces to see results and find success in this game. Giving thousands of lessons over the years I've realize that golfers gain better insight when I break it down to where it just makes sense.
