Kelsey Clark

Kelsey grew up in Washington State with a love for fitness and nutrition. She completed her Bachelor's Degree at an East Coast University, studying food, wine and nutrition.

Kelsey’s education led her to the field of Food Media, working for cooking shows and producing cooking videos. Her life was fast-paced and stressful. In order to maintain sanity, she found balance through exercise, and began training for a marathon. Kelsey found that spending hours running - with nothing but her thoughts and some great music - was a much-needed, meditative activity. She completed het first full marathon on The Great Wall of China (such an amazing, crazy experience!), but sustained a running injury that she couldn't seem to kick, even months after.

That December, her sister bought her a class card for a Bikram yoga studio. She decided to stop stubbornly trying to run on the injury, and instead do Bikram for ten days straight. The injury healed quickly, and Kelsey couldn't stop thinking about the next time I could get into the hot room! She began to plan her days around yoga. Each class was a challenge. There were days she was tired or stressed and would rather be anywhere in the world but in that miserable, stinky room with a teacher barking at her to "lock the knee." However, she learned to breath through the discomfort, and began to apply the lessons learned on my mat to life outside the yoga studio.

In 2011, she decided that a change of scenery was needed. She moved from Boston to Las Vegas to live in a less expensive city and attempt to chip away at my student loans. Unexpectedly, she discovered an amazing yoga community, and was was encouraged by her yoga family to train for the USA Yoga Asana Nevada Regionals. She didn't have any expectations - the competition was for personal growth, but placed third in the state! Kelsey slowly started exploring different styles of yoga, and thirsted to continually challenge her practice and knowledge she dove into Ashtanga and other Vinyasa-styled classes as well as Yin and myofascial release.

In the Spring of 2014 Kelsey completed Baptiste Level One teacher training in Sedona. It was an extremely challenging week, but a first, transformative step to learning more about herself and her practice.

February 2016 was the completion of her 200 RYT yoga teacher training, led by Mark Balfe-Taylor at TruFusion Las Vegas. Kelsey joined the TruFusion travel team, and helped open and train teachers in various TruFusion franchise locations around the United States. Kelsey worked as GM/Sales Director for YogaSix Mountain’s Edge in Las Vegas, has owned a kickboxing franchise (9Round).

Kelsey also teaches Bootcamp, kettlebells, Pilates, and Barre classes at TruFusion. She loves all things fitness and yoga, and loves to learn. She completed her Yoga 500RYT in Spring of 2021.
