I discovered yoga by chance while in University, in Portugal. It felt like a safe space to breathe and move. The meaning of yoga became clearer and clearer as time went by, and I realised that it was the moment of my day where I felt I could be myself and be at peace with myself, others and the world around me. And I could take that with me when I left the studio.
I decided to do a 200h Yoga Teacher Training (Yoga Alliance certified) because I wanted to understand what was behind the well being that I could see happening within me and other practicioners around me. Mid way through the training I realised that I wanted to share the practice with others, and that provided me great joy. I've started teaching small groups and adjusting the practice to the students.
For me, yoga is about connecting with mind and body as they are, and to balance between challenging and accepting what comes, in each moment. My classes combine breathe with both strength and movement, in Vinyasa style, therefore expect to connect, move, sweat, and breathe.
