I started practicing yoga in 2008. I took many different types of classes, and before I knew it... I was hooked. There was something about the way I felt after my practice that I wanted more of. Beside the obvious flexibility, stretching and strengthening, the spiritual part intrigued me. I had a new found peace and calmness, and started to feel a deeper connection with myself, others, and the world around me.. I decided to take it further, not really knowing what that would mean. In 2012 I enrolled in Peachtree Yoga Teacher Training ( in Atlanta, Ga) and received my 200 RYT . I knew right away that I wanted to share this transformational ancient practice.. I started teaching yoga and continued my training . I have been privileged to meet , learn from , and deepen my practice with many master Yoga teachers.
For the past 8 years I teach an average of 6 classes per week. I love the breath centered flow of Vinyasa, the meditative practice of Yin , and Chair Yoga to make it accessible to all. I am also trained in Yoga for Arthritis . I believe in safety first , and can teach all levels with modifications for those who are beginners or dealing with an injury.
Yoga is for everyone! I am dedicated to helping yogis of all ages and abilities to experience the joys of Yoga. My approach is gentle and informed, based on love, compassion, and a sense of humor. I hope to inspire my students... not only on the mat, but in their lives off of the mat. I seek inspiration in nature, good food, great conversation, and awesome music. I love to get creative and like to think I am somewhat of an artist. I love to travel, and my "happy place" is the beach. I especially love Yoga on the beach and hope to someday lead a retreat ... Bucket List !
I have a loving husband , adult kids , and two granddaughters who are the true joys of my life.
