I was a Paramedic for 12 years and in 2012 I attended my last call that resulted in a PTSD diagnosis.  Since 2012 I have been driven to find balance in my life.  I struggled with anxiety and depression and found myself contemplating suicide during my darkest moments.  How did climb out of the dark hole I found myself in.   I chose to remove the things in my life that no longer served me.  I was seeking balance my entire life and was lacking the tools to bring me into awareness.  The PTSD diagnosis was the force I needed to create the change I had been seeking.  I have gained so much valuable knowledge through this experience.  I have gathered the tools required to thrive post trauma.  My daily practice revolves around plant based nutrition, yoga, meditation and breath work.  My Wife Mindy introduced me to Yoga in 2017 when she completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Happy Jack Yoga.  In 2018 Mindy began providing Yoga to First Responders and Military Members experiencing the symptoms of PTSD.  Mindy and I are currently providing Yoga through PTSD retreats and conferences and the feedback we receive is affirmation that we are on the right path.  I can say today with certainty that I have saved more lives as a Yoga Instructor through sharing circles and breath work.  I love what I do and I truly have found my dharma.  We all seek human connection, and when a healthy and safe environment is provided, healing can begin to take place.
