I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl and began teaching Zumba in 2013. I was a sophomore at Florida International University when I took an interest in teaching Zumba. I was certified in the summer of 2013 and taught Zumba on the campus gym fora year. I took a break from teaching zumba to pursue more career oriented actives. I began working as a research assistant and continued to do so until I graduated with my bachelors in Psychology w/ honors in 2016. I then moved to Detroit, MI to begin my PhD studies in physiology studying the molecular mechanisms regulating diabetes. Currently, I am a 4th year PhD student at Wayne State University. I got re-certified and am currently teaching Zumba at the campus gym.
