After serving the community of New Orleans for 30 years as an K-12 educator and curriculum developer I relocated to Louisville, Kentucky in June 2019. I have always enjoyed movement as an avenue for mental as well as physical health and well-being. I danced as an elementary student, ballet, toe and tap. I marched in my high school band and played clarinet in the concert band as well. I jogged and practiced yoga before it became a movement. I was a U. S. Peace Corps Volunteer and co-founded a 501 c3 that took youth to various counties in Africa from 1995-2005. I learned to swim laps in 1990 after the birth of my daughter. After completing a career of K-12 Education, teacher training and portfolio assessment, I knew that in my second half of life I wanted to be a personal trainer, water fitness instructor until I could no longer lace up my sneakers or pull up my TYR bathing suit. Here I am exploring new opportunities to teach and travel. Two things I have loved my entire life.
