Rosey Vasiljevic

Rosey Vasiljevic is an energetic, and upbeat individual who enjoys bringing positive energy into people's lives. Staying fit and healthy, both physically and mentally, has always been her passion. She creates her own choreography so that the participants stay interested and anew. Rosey ensures everyone is comfortable in her classes, regardless fitness level.  Each person will gain a positive experience and a smile on their faces, guaranteed to come back for more! 

Rosey has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. She became a certified Yoga Instructor by the International Yoga Alliance since 2007. She teaches: Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Fitness, and Restorative Yoga. Her technique and format of classes are available for everyone of all different fitness levels. She provides modifications and advanced postures working with the movement of breath and ending the practice with meditation in Savasana. Rosey used to own her yoga studio in Belgrade, Serbia, but now works at The City of Surrey in Surrey, BC., Canada. She currently has her BCRPA and CPR/First Aid up-to-date. 

In addition to teaching Yoga, she also teaches Barre as part of her specialty. Rosey has been teaching Barre since 2014, currently teaching registered classes at the City of Surrey Recreation Centers. Time is spent creating new choreography and patterns, peaking the interest of participants each time they come to class. She brings a combination of upper and lower body workouts, leaving the last 15 min. for some Pilates on the mat and then stretching. A great combination of high-energy and intense workout for everyone!

Rosey teaches various other classes as a Group Fitness instructor, such as: Step, Cardio Combo, Functional Training, HIIT, and Bootcamp. Her music works on a 128-132bpm, increasing the bpm depending on the class and exercise. She incorporates Tabata and kickboxing to increase the heart rate and strengthen the cardiovascular system. Weights are also added into her classes, however, body-weight is just as effective. Rosey ensures that everyone is getting a great workout and works within the best of their ability. In the beginning of each class, she makes herself aware of anyone with an injury or physical limitation so that she can provide modifications.
