Yoga has been an instrumental part of Kirstin's life since the age of 16, when she intuitively knew she would love the practice after looking at a few stick figure drawings in Warrior 1 and Warrior 2.
What started as something that felt good, quickly developed into a way of healing deep wounds and slowly finding brightness and light. The path has held many winding lanes with moments of quiet pauses. Some days the action has been sitting and breathing or practicing the elusive meditation. What once was a very rigorous movement has shifted to listening to the needs of the body. A truly radiant practice has emerged, with space to find her own wholeness.
When you come to the mat in Kirstin's class, you will be asked to begin to listen to that voice. The bodies intelligence is continuously signaling exactly what she or he is desiring, yet you can only truly hear in the stillness. There will be moments of challenge and moments of pure bliss. This is the opportunity to come home to yourself as you are, not the self someone assigned to you. When those layers of falseness fall to the side, you begin to inhabit your wholeness. It is in the wholeness, you can find and follow your dharma. Kirstin's greatest honor is to be able to offer a space for that exploration, just as you are.
