- Wendy McLoon
Wendy was first drawn to yoga as a young mother of three very active kids and a husband in graduate school, who worked an incredible amount of hours every week. Needless to say, the stress level was pretty high. Some friends mentioned a yoga class through adult education, and they all signed up together. Wendy was instantly hooked! She continued using yoga as a stress management tool, also noticing the physical benefits of increased flexibility, increased energy, and just a feeling of overall well-being. After the loss of her mother and a difficult move to another state, Wendy finally pursued her 200 hour teacher training. Wanting to share the benefits of yoga with all people who really needed it (regardless of flexibility or body type), Wendy immediately started training as a yoga therapist and became fully credentialed through the International Association of Yoga Therapists in 2016. She has been seeing private clients, some referred from their primary care providers or therapists, as well as teaching group yoga classes through adult education (full circle!) and yoga studios ever since.
Wendy's yoga style is gentle and mindful, allowing each student in her class to fully access each posture and breathing instruction to the best of their ability. Wendy has a very calm demeanor and positive vibe, and her students always come away from class feeling very relaxed, fully stretched and generally better than they did when they first walked in.
