When I started my yoga practice nearly 15 years ago, I was drawn to the physicality and discipline of yoga. I soon realized that it was more about internal strength and the discipline within. Through my years of practice I was able to find a balance of mind and body and work towards creating a holistic approach to wellness. My journey was learning to live with an open heart and feel strong, powerful and confident through practices of yoga, self-care, and moments of stillness.
I am a 200 hour registered yoga teacher through the Yoga Alliance®, the largest nonprofit association representing the yoga community. It is a great joy of mine to share and guide others of all ages and abilities through this practice of breath and movement.
I also have over 20 years experience in education and am currently teaching kindergarten. I have held several roles in the public education system including teaching, mentoring, staff development and curriculum development. I am passionate about developing the social and emotional wellness of all children. Through my experience with yoga and mindfulness, I have been able to work in the classroom and schools in order to promote social emotional wellness and self-care for the student, their families and the teacher.
I am a life-long student of yoga and continue to further my own personal practice as well as participate in continuing education training and workshops recognized through the Yoga Alliance®.
