I was only caught skipping class as a high school senior one time...and I was caught taking a group fitness class at a gym close to my house. My mom walked in, as surprised to see me as I was to see her and asked, "You could have gone anywhere, and you went to the gym?!?"
Therein began my love for fitness.
As a dancer, cheerleader, and track/field athlete, I have always been drawn to group fitness. I love motivating people, fueling their energy, and seeing their progress. I love being accountable to people, and them accountable to me. I love taking new members, and turning them into fitness enthusiasts.
I began teaching cycle classes right after I graduated college to supplement my marketing career. I then became certified in Turbo Kick, thus making my way into to GX world. Soon after, I caught the Les Mills bug and became certified in Les Mills Body Jam (using my passion for dance), Les Mills Body Step, and Les Mills Sh'Bam. I then met my now husband, who is also an instructor. His job took us to Paris, France, where I completed my certifications (in French) in Body Combat, Body Pump, and RPM respectively.
We moved back to the USA in 2015 and I was able to resume my classes (many with my husband) at our home club. Teaching is more than a passion for us, it's who we are!
