Hello! I'm Maria Jose Avendano, born and raised Costa Rican (Proud TICA) and I live in Ottawa, ON. I've been a certified ZUMBA Instructor since 2019 and I absolutely love teaching Zumba classes. My passion for Zumba started after dancing ballet, tap and jazz my whole childhood and teenage years. After moving to Canada for university and pursuing a career in Government I had a desire to always continue dancing. Zumba was a treasure I discovered as a student in University and was hooked since then. I feel every song I dance and feed of the fantastic energy of my students!
