Tom Taylor

After playing 5 years of football for Simon Fraser University and graduating with a degree in Communications, I journeyed to Asia to learn and teach. I was awarded a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitus before leaving Canada and after travelling throughout S.E. Asia, India, Nepal and Australia I stopped over in Japan for 5 years to teach English and further my own training and those of others. I was awarded my purple belt in Brazilain Jiu Jitsu there and taught classes alongside my Instructor. I also trained various teammates and clients in the gym. It was a great way to supplement my income. I said goodbye to Japan and headed to Australia to continue along the same path. There I taught English to many foreigners, taught Jiu Jitsu again part time, and worked in the gym as well. Noticing that this way of life offered an amazing opportunity to travel and see the world without ONLY teaching English, I returned to Canada, certified myself through Can-Fit Pro and "legitimized" all of my expertise I learned and obtained through experiences travelling and living abroad. I have been back in Canada now for two years and have been working at the same gym with numerous cllients in the realm of Personal Training and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Taking more of a focus on Personal Training as my main source of income has given me the opportuninty to focus on becoming better and more knowledegable in this field of expertise. I am also proud to say that I have recieved my brown belt since being back in Canada. Well spoken, down-to-earth, energetic, good natured and real! I am a traveller at heart with training people and making others feel good as my passion in life.
