Lisa Parente

Hello beautiful humans! I’m Lisa and I am a Cleveland native living in Denver. Growing up I was extremely athletic. I was an acrobat when I was a child and played soccer up until college. I suffered from a few injuries and back problems which pulled me out of the sport itself. I had a heavy strength training background but yoga helped me the most.

Yoga literally saved my life. When I was 18 and in college I developed a lot of stress, anxiety and unhealthy habits. I constantly searched for a way out rather than doing the work within. I went to my first yoga class at a gym I used to work at and that is where it all began to unfold.. I then joined my first yoga studio and every time I practiced I thought of it as my own therapy and an hour to heal. An hour to heal mentally, physically and emotionally. I strengthened my self esteem and confidence.

Three years into college I decided to drop out and move to Denver. At this point I had never lived on my own let alone in a whole new city! I decided to dive in and get my 200 hour. I completed my 200 hour at Kindness yoga in 2016 and in 2019 I completed my 300 hour at The River Yoga where I completed research to find a bridge between yoga and Reiki. I am now a 500 hour RYT. I am also certified in Buti Yoga. I’ve been teaching for almost 4 years now and I am beyond grateful for that. I am beyond grateful for the relationship I’ve developed with teaching and most importantly the relationship I've strengthened with MYSELF.

I hope to guide my students towards strengthening the relationship they have with themselves as well. My focus is building community through yoga and also creating a safe space for others to simply be on their mat in an authentic way. I offer a foundation that allows students to do the work of healing physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically. A foundation that is carried on and off the mat. My classes are challenging, creative, and FUN. Outside of teaching yoga I enjoy music, dancing, hiking, and working out. I am also a certified spin instructor. Movement and music is my number one medicinal source. I hope to offer my gifts to you and help you grow infinitely.
