I am from Texas, born and raised! Love my state! My husband and I have been happily married for 15 years and we have two boys, ages 21 and 26. I began my Yoga journey after retiring from ballet and experiencing atrophy in my early 30's. A Doctor suggested a hip replacement and I chose not to accept this Western medicine style. My first yoga class was very calm and relaxing, I wanted more! I was a student for 9 years and came upon an opportunity to get my 200 hour certification from the studio where I practiced daily. I earned my 200 hour certification and immediately began teaching. Two years later I retired from my corporate job in Finance and began teaching 15-18 classes weekly.
In addition to teaching, I began pursuing my 300 hour certification and became a teacher mentor for new YTT trainees. I now have my own business with private clients and teach for a local gym bringing much needed Yoga and Pilates to the members. I enjoy seeing those moments of success whether it be breath, meditation, or yang yoga practice in my students. Yoga has changed my life!! Most Yogis will say this, but all of our stories are wonderful! I love to hearing their stories of what brought them to yoga and the opportunity to be a part of their journey is such an honor.
