Being a stay at home mother I found going to the gym was my way of getting social time with adults. A new instructor training class was being offered at the gym I frequented and was encouraged to try it. It was second nature to me, so I studied to become certified in group fitness in 1996 and began teaching a variety of classes in the gym which promoted the program. I felt the desire to go further with my education and persue a certification in personal training. I have trained with free weights since high school and enjoyed the results. In 1997, with the support of my husband and family, I studied and passed the ACE personal trainer certification.
Since then I have taught a variety of classes from step & hi-lo aerobics, Power Pacing to kickboxing and strength training. I have had several personal training clients and have been used in the clubs I have been employed to oversee clients in weight rooms and with specific needs or questions regarding strength training.
