My name is Julie, and I have been teaching group fitness classes since 2018. My love for group fitness started in college, where I attended lots of yoga and Pilates classes, and then continued when I joined my current gym as a member. I went almost every day, and especially fell in love with the Pound class. After a little while, I decided I wanted to become a Pound instructor. From there, I decided to get certified through AFAA to teach general group fitness, and I grew my skills by earning certifications for indoor cycling, Zumba, TRX, and Strong Nation. My very favorites are Zumba and Strong Nation, but I really enjoy it all.

I was born and raised in New Jersey, and now live in Richmond, Virginia with my husband and our two dogs. Aside from fitness, I also enjoy photography, collecting houseplants, and going out to see live music - something I haven't gotten to do in a while due to the pandemic, but really look forward to again one day!
