Greetings! My name is Stephanie from Washington, DC by way of Long Island, NY.
I have been practicing yoga for over 15 years. What started as a physical practice, later was able to tap into that meditative state. Yoga was there for me when I needed healing, it was a life support, something I could come back to as a familiar friend.
I have realized the opportunity I have to help people and spread peace. Yoga healed me and now it's time to give that gift to others. I have been teaching yoga for 5 years now. I am also an accessible yoga ambassador, working with seniors, limited mobility students and accommodating injuries. I believe yoga is for everyone.
My class style is hatha based, gentle yoga for beginners with an emphasis on strength and deep muscle release. Breath work and meditation are always included before and after class to cultivate that internal power of peace. Class type can be customized to fit the needs of the student/group. The only rule in yoga is to listen to your body.
Currently, I am working on a certification as a Functional Medicine health coach to help people off the mat in nutrition and wellness. My passion is helping people! I want to share this with people and show them how they can take control of their health to live their best life!
