Meet Ashia J.
Dance and fitness has been apart of me since my youth; from ballet, tap, and jazz as a child; to line dancing, kickboxing, dance classes, and high intensity interval training as an adult. Exercise has kept me grounded and help to manage the sometimes stressful demands of being an educator. Life challenges has taught me that fitness is the key to a healthier me, both physically and mentally. Unsatisfied with my overall health and well being, I began a journey of weight loss transformation. This journey led me to becoming a certified dance fitness instructor for a previous class. AfroCardio was later birthed as a result of teaching and creating the dance moves for that class when I decided to create my own fitness brand. AfroCardio is a total body workout that uses cardio training dance moves to shred your core, strengthen muscles, increase flexibility, while incorporating some culturally accurate African Dance moves done to Afro Beats/Drum Beats/Hip Hop/ Dance Hall.
