Justine Gevisser

I am Justine Gevisser originally born in Cape Town, South Africa. married with 2 teenage sons. 

One at College in New York City and one in his sophomore year at High School.  We moved to Cleveland Ohio in 2017 for reasons pertaining to my oldest son's area of study, piano. 

I am presently launching a small e-commerce pajama business www.nightrose.com on April 1, 2021 selling South African designed pajamas -manufactured in india with South African partners and teach yoga part time at my local studio Yoga Roots where I have taught since graduating from 200hr in 2018.  I am doing my 500hr training presently with Citizen Yoga, Detroit.

Prior to moving to Cleveland Ohio, I was involved in the Event's business for 17 years in Cape Town, Johannesburg and London.  I produced large scale experiential events for corporate client with a particular emphasis in my more recent work on the philanthropic sector in South Africa. 

Since landing on US soil and initially not having employment status, a desire was cultivated to redirect my energies - I had been practicing yoga for 18 years and had a background as a professional dancer and competitive gymnast and had always wanted to expand my learning and deepen my practice.  I committed to the 200hr purely as a journey of self exploration but on graduation found true joy in teaching my community in Cleveland.

As a family we have travelled the world, lived in Johannesburg, Cape Town, London and now Cleveland Ohio. My driving passion is travel, and do travel and share the practice of yoga would be a delight and privilege.
