Mackenzie Phillips

As a Spartan SGX coach, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and Russian Kettlebell certified instructor, Mackenzie K. Phillips, Esq., as the owner of Maeve40 Fitness, coaches individuals and groups in Chicago, online, on the Spartan field, and around the world at destination fitness retreats. Most recently, Maeve40 Fitness hosted the Wander Woman Retreat in New Buffalo Michigan in June 2019, and a series of bootcamp classes in Martha’s Vineyard in August 2019. 

Growing up as a classically trained musician and dancer, Mackenzie often questioned her decision to practice law. But as she matured, she learned in the truest sense that life doesn't have to be"either/or"; it can be "both/and." Mackenzie is an executive-level practicing lawyer focusing on securities & corporate governance for Fortune 500 companies. Over the years, she has always been very active--from dance to Ashtanga yoga to snowboarding. After recovering from a back injury in 2014, she ventured into NPC Bikini competitions and as a true competitor determined that mediocrity was not for her. After a few shows under her belt, she won the Titan Open in Wisconsin in all classes--Open, Masters and Novice.

With the fire of the competition circuit in her blood, Mackenzie again left the space of mediocrity and decided to become a NASM-CPT to start her own health, lifestyle and fitness brand, MAEVE40 Fitness. From fitness to food to fashion and everything in between, she is the ultimate tastemaker and is dedicated to being the best she can be. She is a wonderful combination of glamour and grit; as she works hard, plays harder, and devotes significant time to the people and the causes she believes in. She has passion. She is different. She is not living this life to be mediocre.

Maeve40 Fitness aims to empower individuals to reclaim the same warrior spirit they bring to everything and everyone else in their lives, and channel that life-giving force for their own wellness and self-care needs.
