Through the years, I have been asked why I teach yoga, why I practice yoga, why I like and am drawn to yoga, etc. and my answers continue to revolve around the same theme.  It REALLY has helped me become more aware, mindful and willing to accept life, all of the changes and all of the monotony.

Yoga is the place where I find peace and can chill-out in the present moment, this is because of the mindfulness, awareness and the incorporation of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual practices.  It’s not always pretty, it’s not always graceful, it’s not always what I want or want it to look like…but EVERY DAY it comes through with what I need.

Then...I just happen to also really LOVE people!  It’s natural for me to want to share what I love with everyone, especially because getting to know people is one of my favorite pastimes.  Teaching to me is a gift, I think of all the wonderful experiences yoga has brought to my life, the act and process of being able to share really makes my light shine big and bright.  So each class I teach is a present, in the present, at least that’s how I view it.  This act of giving and sharing isn’t for myself, but instead for everyone who shows up…when the people in my class have a breakthrough, it’s not because of me, it’s because they’ve shown up, practiced, paid attention and put in the work.  Of course the outcome of all of this is happiness, joy and delight…and maybe, just maybe…we all get a little closer to everlasting BLISS.
