Hi, I’m Jackie and I was born and raised in sunny San Diego and relocated to Sacramento after living in San Francisco for 27 years.

At 40, I realized that life isn’t about perfection; it’s about progress. The progress of growing and turning challenges into learning opportunities and being empowered by what one does. For me, this progress was rekindled when I resumed an active lifestyle. I began my second act, working at a women’s fitness center in my Outer Sunset neighborhood in San Francisco, CA. Before long, I was teaching circuit classes and managing the gym. I discovered Zumba Fitness in 2007 and was hooked. I instantly fell in love with the music and knew this is what I was looking for.

I am a member of the ZIN™ (Zumba Instructor Network) and have led Zumba® Fitness classes in Northern California since 2008. I am an Official licensed Zumba® Fitness Instructor with licenses in various Zumba Formats. I am SCW and YMCA-ACE Approved Group Fitness Instructor, an Active Aging Movement Coach, Ballet Barre Fitness, and an AEA Aquatic Fitness Instructor.
