M. Ed, C-IAYT, YACEP, PCA Trainer 

Julie has been an educator in many capacities for more than 25 years. She earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Minnesota and has over 20 years of experience as an educator. Julie is a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) and a lead trainer for Pain Care Aware. She teaches adaptive yoga classes for ALL, including meditation and breathwork practices. 

She lives and works in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area in Minnesota. She is the owner and founder of Santosha Yoga Therapy LLC where she primarily works with people in areas such as: chronic pain, autoimmune diseases, functional yoga therapy, and mental health (including anxiety, depression, and grief). Julie has created an On Demand Library offering classes by anatomy, style and theme. She offers a Chronic Pain Collection, a Mental Health Collection, and also an Unlimited Monthly Membership. 

 

In addition, she has worked with HealthPartners Neuroscience Center and TRIA Orthopedic Center in MN as a yoga therapist. Julie is an educator at heart leading seminars, trainings, and retreats in various locations.

Personally, beyond yoga and meditation, Julie enjoys strength training, swimming, walking/hiking, kayaking/canoeing, and LOTS of traveling and exploring.
