Katy dabbled with yoga during her time as a dance major in college, but it was after graduating that she developed a steady practice. Each style of yoga that she tried created a new set of challenges which she enjoyed. She began her teaching journey by getting her 200 hr certification through Marianne Wells. The more she studied and practiced yoga, the more she wanted to continue learning. Katy went on to get certified in Bikram Yoga, Buti Yoga, Hiit, Yoga Sculpt, Yin Yoga, and completed another Vinyasa Yoga training. Most recently, Katy had the privilege of co-leading a 200 hour Vinyasa Teacher Training. Her classes are challenging, fun, creative, and she enjoys making people laugh to keep the energy light and lifted. For her, it is an honor and a privilege to share the practice of yoga with any person who is willing to show up on their mat.
