In 2020, during lock down, while working from home, I had the extra time to study and earn the AFAA certification as a group fitness instructor.  I was able to start doing yoga every day during my lunch break and loved all the benefits I was getting from the combination of Zumba and yoga.  I decided to take advantage of virtual learning and earned the certificate as a  RYT-200 certified yoga instructor. Yoga and Zumba make the perfect combination of cardio, strength-building, stretching and calming of the mind.

 

In my Yoga class, I want to create an atmosphere of inclusion and acceptance.  This is my time to spread the calm energy, while we build strength and increase flexibility.  With all of the craziness going on in the world, yoga is so important to calm and quiet the mind.

During 2023 i wanted to dig deeper into my yoga training and continued my yoga teacher training to earn the additional 300 hours to have a total of 500 hours of yoga teacher training complete.
