I’ve been an athlete all my life. In my early years I competed at a high level in Figure Skating, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball and Long Distance Track and Field. I earned a Division I full scholarship for Cross Country and Track and Field at Wichita State University. After college I continued running in Marathons (x3) and Half Marathons (x20). My best finish was in October 1998, at the Toronto International Marathon placing 3rd Woman overall with a time of 3:14. I followed that up in 2003 in the Chicago Marathon with a time of 3:16 after having 2 babies thirteen months apart. I then qualified for and competed in the Boston Marathon in 2004. Due to the fact that my husband’s career required moving wuite frequently, I decided to become a certified Personal Trainer in 2006. I have been certified as a trainer in Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. I have worked in 1 studio my entire training career, the rest of my time has been spent working for myself in my own studio and in my clients homes. Each move we have made, I have been able to start up a training business via word of mouth advertising. My boys are now off to college and I am looking forward to being a traveling pro!
