Stephanie Saatkamp

Often, the first thought many have when considering yoga is, “I’m not flexible enough!” And truthfully, that was my opinion as well. I can clearly remember my first class, because I felt, despite my athletic background, completely out of place, and unable to complete the class with picture worthy precision (thankfully, Instagram wasn’t around then). It took a few more years, and international moves, before I would begin yoga again. And as my knowledge and love for yoga grew, I better understood that yoga isn’t about the amount of postures one can do with the most flexibility, but about strengthening the mind-body connection.

At this point in my yoga journey, as much as I love vinyasa, I’m finding my mind and body most need restorative yoga, and enjoy sharing both. When not on the mat, you can find me chasing my 4 boys, knitting, and drinking all the tea.
