Background – I discovered yoga as a way to incorporate stretching into my running, group fitness life. I began to notice a remarkable transformation of not only my body’s ability to bend and recover, but the amazing effect that yoga was having on my mind. Yoga has taught me to breathe through challenges, stay in the present moment and hold compassion in my heart for every living being.
I did my 220 hour teacher training, never considering that I might actually teach. To me, it was an investment in me, as I wanted to deepen my understanding of yoga’s history and strengthen my daily practice. Sharing the practice led me to teaching, as I knew if yoga was life changing for me, then offering it to others is a must.
My intention as a teacher is to create a joyful healing space for practice, emphasizing breath and honoring individual needs. As a Reiki Master and Thai Bodywork certified, I have a special love of the therapeutic benefits and the planning mom side of me loves to plan a theme and creative flow for vinyasa practice.
When not on my mat, you’ll find me managing projects for 2 companies, enjoying the outdoors, spending time with my daughter or my best friend, and husband, John.
