Hi, I'm Ann.

I began my yoga journey 20 years ago as a great way to stretch my body after a long run. My friends and I would run on Saturday mornings and go to a local store that offered free yoga with rotating teachers from various studios. As a result, over the years I had the opportunity to experience many different styles of yoga, which I later realized was a gift. I noticed some styles resonated with me and others not so much. I prefer a style of yoga that integrates, body, mind, spirit and breath.

When I decided to become a yoga instructor, it was to deepen my own practice rather than to teach. With so many great local studios offering yoga teacher training, I spent many months exploring my options. I chose Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health because it resonated with my body, mind, and heart. While there, I learned that "Kripalu" means compassion, which really spoke to the type of practice I wanted for myself.  In February of 2019 I received my 200 Hour certification from Kripalu. Later that year, I began teaching some classes at my church.  In 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic, I moved to an online format and taught 200 classes! I loved the feeling of helping others find peace and comfort during a very turbulent time. This experience encouraged me to pursue my 300 hour certification. In April of 2023 I received my 300 Hour YTT, also from Kripalu.

When I am not on my yoga mat, I am likely spending time with family and friends, or traveling to a national park, another country, or perhaps to my backyard sanctuary.
