Shelby O'Keefe

I am a 200 RYT through Yoga Alliance and I have a specialty certifications in Warriors Yoga 140 HR (Trauma Sensitive Yoga) and Mind Body Recovery Coaching (yoga-based). I regularly teach hot yoga, trauma sensitive yoga and hot barre. I aim to create a space for my clients where they feel empowered to try new things, while focusing on safety and choice through their asanas (poses). I encourage all of my students to focus on a practice that allows them to release through Aparigraha (non-attachment) in order to build space for new things in their life. 

In addition, I am a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and an ADAPT Certified Functional Health Coach (A-CFHC) with a background in deep listening, strengths-based coaching, mind and body connection and empathetic communication.

My coaching emphasizes a functional medicine approach that focuses on holistic health and wellness through stress management, sleep, nutrition and movement. I believe every individual is a capable, whole person who knows what is best for them, but that coaching helps them connect to their resources, values and support systems to make it happen. Outside of teaching yoga and health coaching, I am a hiker and explorer with a deep love of learning, sustainable farming and all things related to plants.
