Ann Verhaeghe

I have had a lifelong interest in natural healing and health. Even though I have a Masters degree in linguistics, I have dedicated all my time, energy and alot of money to learning about yoga, aromatherapy, raw nutrition, breath therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and many many others modalities. My first residential yoga teacher training was in February and March 2003. From that moment, I have never stopped training with many well respected and well known yoga masters from around the world. I was bornin Belgium, and have studied and lived one year in Denmark. After that I lived in South Africa for 18 years where I met my husband, and we nog live in Belgium again since beginning 2020 with our three children. I practice  yoga on a daily basis, and I make sure I spend time alone in meditation every day, so I can be the best me for everyone around me. I am a very enthousiast positive and outgoing person. As a child I often travelled to luxury resorts with my parents, and recently we took our children to a few Club Med resorts...unfortunately, in both places,I was somehow disappointed in the lack of knowledge and experience of the yoga teachers at the time, ( Ixtapa and Cancun). My best form of marketing is word of mouth, and I can say with confidence that I know my stuff. I am simple and honest. What you see is what you get!

Here is what you can also find on my intro page (ww.yinyangann.com)

My personal teaching style draws from more than 20 years of practicing and studying many yoga styles along with studies in Thai Massage, Reiki, Indian Head Massage and Present Child Translator. I have been teaching yoga in Belgium and South Africa since 2003. Before that, I was a translator Danish – German – Dutch – English ( I love languages, I speak eight, hoping to learn more)

Yoga is first and foremost a spiritual practice and lifestyle. Being spiritual does not mean being serious, on the contrary, it is being exuberantly alive and living life to the fullest, no matter how dark things may look on the outside.

My dedication to yoga in its widest meaning has blessed me with a spiritually rich and fulfilling life. I feel better about myself and the world around me. Inner-standing the transformative powers of yoga makes me so passionate about sharing my knowledge and personal experiences with my fellow human beings.

My husband and three children inspire me every day to become the person I want to be: more mindful and accepting, happier and grateful.

MY WISH IS FOR EVERYONE TO THRIVE, NOT MERELY SURVIVE IN THEIR LIFE!

My formal training spans more than 1000 hours in many different yoga styles such as Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. I am lucky to have trained with true experts in their respective fields, such as Paul Grilley, Ana Forrest, Sarah Powers, Rod Stryker, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Sri Sri Ravishankar….I have also trained both as a Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra teacher.

I teach people of all levels and all ages with a dash of humor and simple, but efficient anatomical cues! I have an innate ability to make people feel at ease in every class.

I hope this gives some insight into who I am. You can check my website for yoga videos and free meditations to get an even better idea of what I stand for, who I am.
