Sandra Menzies

Sandra (Sandy) Menzies teaches Mindful Yoga with an emphasis on finding connection in your mind, body, and spirit through inspiration and movement. She has been practicing yoga since 2000 and teaching since 2016. She is a RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance after receiving 200-hour Vinyasa flow training from Dominic Knapp at The Shala, Frederick, Maryland in 2015 and 500-hour yoga training from Amy Ipploiti at Vesselify in 2021.

Sandy's yoga classes allow students to feel connected and grounded, practice mindfulness, and situational awareness. Her classes are scaled to meet the student's needs. She can offer classes from chair yoga to mid-level vinyasa flow classes. Sandy specializes in yoga classes that increase participants awareness of their bodies as they move with awareness to increase mobility and strength. She incorporates meditations, mindfulness activities, along with breath awareness to a theme for each class. 

Sandy is also a licensed massage therapist in Maryland. She received her license in 2001. Each massage is customized for your needs. A session can include modalities such as Swedish, Lymphatic Drainage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, and Thai. In 2023, Sandy became an Advanced Thai Practitioner through Living Sabai, and she has studied in Thailand. 

Sandy became an Associate Certified Coach through International Coaching Federation in 2019. Sandy specializes in helping individuals internalize their life dreams and turn them into reality. She offers coaching to individuals or group. She works with professionals and individuals as they prepare for and embrace the transitions of their lives. 

Sandy has taught water aerobics classes, both shallow and deep water, to a variety of individuals. She encourages fun and community within her classes. 

In all that Sandy does, she inspires, builds community, increases awareness, and excitement for living.
