Hi!
My name is Rachel, I'm a wife and dog mom from Kansas, USA with a true passion for yoga!
Yoga changed my life in many ways and provided a sense of calm and balance I'd been craving. Before finding yoga I was, like many women in corporate America, constantly on the go, always reaching for the next "thing" and trying to prove myself to others. The idea of slowing down, practicing acceptance and mindfulness were such foreign and uncomfortable concepts to me. Despite my initial discomfort, I was amazed when I began to feel a sense of calm, I’d thought was impossible for my anxious, "always on" mind. I knew then I wanted to share this with others and love continually seeing the benefits of my practice manifest themselves both on and off my mat!
I enrolled in YTT 200 about a year and a half after stepping onto my mat at my home studio in Kansas City. It only strengthened my passion for sharing the mental and physical benefits yoga offers. Upon completion of my 200 hr certification, I accepted a teaching position at my home studio where I teach heated and all level Power yoga classes.
I enjoy giving my students more than just a workout and leaving them with something they can take off of their mat as well so I incorporate themes, many times around yoga sutras into my classes. Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced yogi, my goal as an instructor is to help you find presence, acceptance, and joy in the current moment while empowering your mind, body, and spirit. Most importantly, I always want students to leave class shining just a little brighter!!
