After giving birth to my beautiful son in 2009, I suffered terribly from post-natal depression and found it hard to regain my self-confidence. After getting back into the gym when my little one was 2 years old, I found my old self again. The weights, exercise and re-found passion that I'd once had for a life of health & fitness was back!
I decided to pursue a career as a Personal Trainer and Coach as I wanted to help other people to find their strength & power again too; knowing and understanding of course, that the physical body is just one small part of this, but a great place for many to start!
Throughout 2013-2018 I trained, studied and competed as a fitness competitor in the UK. I chose to learn more about diet, mindfulness, meditation and stretching in my own time as well as enhancing my skill-set as a personal trainer by taking extra Pro-fusion courses that allowed me to teach specialities (Spinning, HIIT/Tabata training and much more). I worked in several fitness centres in London giving classes and personal training, as well as running my own successful bootcamp & running series outdoors. I am particularly proud of creating a 6 week youth training course where I helped 16-18 year old teenagers to become more confident, happy versions of themselves by teaching them the importance of exercise and healthy living.
Later, I worked with Nuffield Health at JP Morgan in Canary Wharf where I further expanded my skillset and trained many high-performing individuals to improve their peak performance while pushing myself to the limits on my personal capabilities in order to improve every day. After leaving this position to be able to have a more flexible schedule around my growing son, I decided to go private and create my own micro-business Lila Loves, where I would coach Londoners in their own homes.
As a Health & Fitness professional, I then helped my time-poor clients to have peace of mind over their health, fitness & nutrition goals so they could get on with doing what they do best. I believe in the need for a more rounded, intuitive & inclusive coaching approach that takes the individual's wants, needs & motivations as well as their lifestyle into consideration to help to build their strength, confidence & most importantly, knowledge in all things health & fitness relating to THEM.
