Karen VanHorn

Karen has been active from a very young age and embraced the fitness craze of the 80s and 90s wholeheartedly. After her first child was born, she became an IDEA-certified fitness instructor and personal trainer, teaching Step Aerobics, High Impact Aerobics, Low Impact Aerobics, Water Aerobics, Pre/Postnatal Fitness, and Weightlifting. After her kids got a little older, Karen found yoga and quickly fell in love with it. Fast forward to 2020, when the pandemic paralyzed the world, Karen realized that this was the perfect time to fulfill a bucket list item of becoming a certified yoga instructor. For those that don’t know Karen, once she sets her mind to something, there’s very little that can stand in her way and she was enrolled in Kula’s Happy Place Yoga Teacher Training just a few days later. She currently teaches a weekly beginner level class VinYin class and Beach Yoga at The Shores (all levels). She’s also taught Goat Yoga and Vinyasa Flow. Karen loves learning something new during each class and is excited to add more classes to her yoga schedule.
