Emelyn Herndon

Howdy, 

My name is Emelyn and I originally am from Waco, Texas but have lived in several different places in the Midwest since college, currently residing in Southern Illinois. I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a double major Bachelor of Science in Equine Science and Management and Animal Sciences. Since then I have worked in summer camps that have equine specific programs. I am currently the Assistant Equestrian Director at a camp in southern Illinois. Throughout my career I have found my love for fitness and love of teaching riding lessons overlapping and pursued my personal trainer certification (through NASM) to supplement my ability to teach proper balance and body mechanics on the ground and on horseback. I am a lover of most things outdoors though admittedly am not the biggest fan of winter, but am always up to try a new adventure. I have a fun loving dog named Dixie who usually accompanies me on my many adventures.
