Yoga is an important part of my daily life.  It is a physical practice, but it teaches awareness, sensation, scanning, and mental acuity as well.  I want my students to have a good experience with yoga with where their body is at on that specific day.  Be in that moment, be grateful for what their body is doing, and allow it to be their practice.  

There are so many types of classes, breathwork, and other aspects that can be worked on in the discipline of yoga.  Sometimes it is merely opening and strengthening various parts of the body to try to get into a peak pose, but other days it may be  giving yourself time and space to sit in long holds and allow your body to become expansive and lengthen the connective tissue and fascia.  Yoga is a practice, and it is never about obtaining some goal of getting into a pose or you've missed the point.  Yoga is for any and every body.
