Janette Keller

My entire life has been filled with physical activities and athletic adventures. Exercise as a hobby or in competition has always been a part of me. I have been regularly taking group fitness classes and running for 18 years. My running career has lead me to meet some great personal goals including running the Boston Marathon. Group fitness classes have been tremendously helpful in meeting my personal fitness goals. I began teaching Les Mills GRIT in 2013 and have taught many different group fitness formats including Hot Barre. I began my journey in yoga training in 2014. Along the way, I have enjoyed teaching many different forms of yoga: aerial yoga, hot yoga, board balance yoga and power yoga. I completed the 200 hour yoga training in 2019.

I chose to become an instructor because I wanted to learn more about the classes/practices I loved to do myself. As I started that process, sharing what I was passionate about became very natural for me. My medical background has added significantly to knowledge of exercise that I bring to the fitness classes I teach. I love to teach the classes I teach because I love to do those classes myself and find joy in seeing and helping others love their fitness class too.

I love pushing myself physically along side others who are taking a challenge, helping to motivate them, then together celebrating the accomplishment of the finish. I also love when I can help another person find a new way, or modification of a pose or exercise that allows them to get the greatest benefit for their bodies. The greatest reward for me is seeing a light of confidence or success come across them when they realize they too can do it.
