My love for yoga runs deep into my soul. Practice began for me roughly 20 years ago. I went to the gym expecting boot camp, to my surprise “power yoga” was up next on the schedule. What an eye opener! At that time I was a part time aerobic instructor, jogged regularly and was always on a diet. After a challenging 90 minutes, I immediately felt significant positive changes in my body and mind.
Amazed, and intrigued by the students abilities, my curiosity peaked. In that class I found a combination of length, strength, and balance, mixed with a mind centering experience, and oh yes, breath! I found my focus shifting after this class. I became absorbed in the many styles of yoga.
A pivotable moment approached as my life took a devastating turn, and a family member was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Yoga truly came off the mat that day and carried me through graciously during very uncertain times.
My certifications include E-RYT200hr for Mind/Body, Power Yoga, and Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga Certification/Fitness Training, I've also attended workshops at the Kripalu Institute, attended a Yoga Anatomy workshop with Leslie Kaminoff, a Meditation workshop with Michael JohnsonYoga, & arm balance workshops.
I am a registered member of Yoga Alliance. I teach classes at my house, at the beach and also for a local studio, Community Yoga (Amelia Island, FL)
In honor of my past and present teachers I send you sincere gratitude, without you I would not be in this place today.
As teacher, it is my intention to instill the unmeasurable benefits of yoga to the world one student at a time. Come my yoga and discover your inner strength & wisdom.
Namaste.
