My yoga journey began in 1993, initially strictly as asana practice. Over the years, yoga practice helped me grow physically and spiritually. Yoga became my passion after living as a Yogini at Satchidananda Ashram in Yogaville, VA in August 2008. The beautiful Sachidanana/Sivananda training, as well as sharing the Yoga experience through teaching friends and colleagues enabled me to become a confident Yoga instructor. The teacher training at Sivananda Ashram in the Bahamas in January 2011 further affirmed my belief and enhanced my teaching skills. Further advanced training at Himalayan Institute in 2013-2014 deepened my personal practice, and updated my teaching skills. I am so delighted to share my Yoga experience with all who are inspired by the practice of Yoga. I have taught part time in yoga studios and colleagues and friends on line since January 2011.
The essence of Yoga is Union – uniting our body with our mind and spirit. With this union, we are also connected to one another through the omnipresent consciousness, which is my goal in sharing the Yoga experience. Through body and mind awareness practice, I hope to bring joy and peace to each one of us. I currently focus on the healing and restorative power of yoga, and offer private and group restorative and Yin Yoga sessions as well as partner Yoga practice with the tool of relaxed breathing and body mind awareness training.
Xiaomin's yoga journey began in 1993, growing from a focus on asana practice to a profound passion that has shaped her physically and spiritually. Inspired by her time as a Yogini at Satchidananda Ashram in Yogaville, VA in 2008, she refined her skills through teaching and further training, including at Sivananda Ashram in the Bahamas and the Himalayan Institute. Dedicated to yoga's essence of uniting body, mind, and spirit, Xiaomin aims to cultivate connections among individuals through shared consciousness. Offering private and group sessions in restorative, Yin, and partner yoga, she emphasizes relaxed breathing and body-mind awareness to promote joy and peace.
Since 2022, Xiaomin’s focus has shifted to online teaching of chair yoga, with the goal of self awareness, balance and opening energy channels as well as integrating the meridians during the practice. She continues her journey with yoga as a wonderful tool for healing health and joy.
