My first (real) experience with yoga was in 2009 while going to school at Kent State. Since then, the practice has become a part of me. As I grow and change, so does my practice, and on and on the circle continues! The physical practice of yoga allows us to become more sensitive and aware of our bodies as well as our mental and emotional states. The most beautiful aspect of the practice is that whatever YOU are looking to gain from it, you will. Yoga is for everyone!
As a teacher my goal is to create the environment for students to turn inward, and to find freedom and enjoyment in his/her body. I aim to teach my classes with intention in every movement which promotes mindfulness, fluidity, and strength. A yoga class is a bit like a dance between the class and teacher so connecting and meeting students where they are at, is very important to me. Come join me!
