In my PhD, From respect for nature to realisation as agency in the ecological emergency I take a different angle on the links between our attitude to this pandemic and our attitude to the ecological emergency, about which I've also written a book. I've spent a number of years working as a volunteer (VSO) in Sudan, Indonesia and Kenya, followed by 17 years in the far west of Mayo. I am currently working on a second collection of works by myself and other philosophers on the practice of philosophy in the ecological emergency.

I teach from a nondualist perspective and emphasise the value of sankalpa and yoga nidra, as well as practice realisation, in attunement to compassion, letting love do what needs to be done. A member of a number of eco-awareness raising organisations, and having run three marathons, I understand the value of hatha as keeping going!
