Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Kim Addison and I am from Toronto, Ontario. My three passions in life are people, fitness and travel. Working for Fitbodies would be a dream come true.
My first career began in Finance on Bay Street for over 10 years. In this fast paced environment, I realized even more the importance of a regular fitness regime and nutrition program. Travelling excessively, raising two children, establishing an event company for children, teaching dryland hockey training, and coaching soccer, the quality of workouts for me became far more important than quantity of workouts. Workouts equated to more energy with less stress in day today activities. Focusing on food choices was and always will be a priority. I had to eat regularly, as well as incorporate a healthy mix of fruits and veggies, good fats, and lean protein sources. We need a regular fitness routine for great health and to help reduce stress. We also need to make smart nutrition choices.
Currently I work as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor for the Town of Oakville and I also have my private clients. I am also a fitness nutrition presenter to the camp All star program for youth, in addition to being the founder for various nutrition programs. Eating for Energy and Dinner for One are two of my most popular seminars. I have also coached soccer for over 7 years and have worked for various hockey clubs in Canada, conducting dryland for hockey athletes.
My goal in life is to help people live a happier and healthier life. Every day is a gift and we can not take them for granted. I consider working out an absolute privilege. If I can share this philosophy with others. I am happy.
I have travelled to over 121 countries over the years and have volunteered in Laos, Peru and most recently Costa Rica. In Costa Rica we worked with an organization called Creer. We donated exercise bands and taught hight school students how to do complete full body workouts with one exercise band! It was so exciting and a lot of fun as well!
During covid I received my TESOL designation and decided to teach English online to children and adults in China and Ecuador. From this teaching I now have private students as well. All teaching is online through VipKID or private. Currently I take Spanish lessons twice a week. It’s a long process as I feel immersion is the best way to learn a language. J
I look forward to hearing from you and hope my application is accepted by Fitbodies.
Thank you for your time.
