Born and raised in the Midwest, I was a shy kid who was intimidated by sports because of the skill and the social aspect. As I got older and became a mom, I broke out of my shell and saw the benefits of being healthy, not only for the physical side, but somewhere inside of me, I found an athlete. I became a marathon runner, a Spin. instructor and adventurer. But a silent competitive nature took a toll on my body in repeated injuries and I looked to find other sports that could keep me healthy and weren't so taxing on my body. I found yoga. What started as a look into finding new muscles and a way to move, turned into finding a new person and a revitalized spirit. I knew that I had to share this experience with anyone else who was looking for a way to remain physically fit and mentally intune, so in 2021, I certified to become a yoga teacher and started the next leg of my journey.
