Meoka Norman

Hello, My name is Meoka McBride-Norman, wife and mother of two beautiful boys. I am 23 years old and will be graduating from Sam Houston State University in December 2007 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Dance. I remember taking a kickboxing class from a wonderful instructor when I was 17 years of age. At that moment, I knew I wanted to do just that. Years later, I walked into a welcoming gym and asked the first person I saw, "How can I teach Kickboxing?" It just so happened, the person I asked was the Group Exercise Coordinator! She became my mentor and helped me learn all that I needed to become a successful, fun and motivating instructor. She also helped me to get my certification through AFAA. I am so glad to know about the opportunity to teach what I love and have fun vacationing at the same time! I've been teaching for over a year now and it is so fun and enlightening to help motivate others. I will one day open an innovative fitness/dance gym for children and adults. Untill then, I want to continue having fun with what I love to do! I believe that staying in shape and being heart healthy are very important. I look forward to working with this corporation!
